What color of highlight would look good on dark brown or almost black hair?

i have bang and kinda long hair (a bit longer than medium) and i'm lettin it grow


now i wanna highlight it but idk what color would look good? any suggestion? not light colors cause my mom wouldnt let me x]What color of highlight would look good on dark brown or almost black hair?

When you say almost black you want to add cool tones... meaning not to golden or caramel... hilighting black hair will consist of 2 step that being bleaching and then applying a toner which any store or pro can help you select a cool tone for the highlights in black hair... now in the dark brown range you can go with more of the golden caramel tones because brown is a warm tone itself.. that is if you are wanting it to look natural... hope this helps....

I think that lowlights might be a better idea than highlights seeing as your hair is so dark. Maybe a few bronze and coppery golds would look really nice. Pleaseee don't go for blonde it would turn out really tacky!

If you want it to look more natural, try like a chocolate/caramel brown color. Blonde? No way. I can't stand it when dark haired people do that to their hair. Super unnatural looking.

try copper , or gold , or red gold tones, they can do wonders for you....don't forgot to foil at least half of your head...you'll love the effects...

It would blend well and give your hair a lot of depth.
NOT blonde. You'll look like a zebra. I don't know why people with dark hair don't get that they don't look good blonde.
i think maybe a dark golden yellow would be pretty. thats what my friend did with her hair. hope i helped some. good luck!
I think Blonde streaks and maybe burgandy But don't over do it
hazelnut carmel and maybe honey but thats a litl light
