How does a stylist color/highlight your hair if you have fusion hair extensions in?

The hair extensions presumably are a high quality human hair. A stylist would treat extension as if it were your own natural hair.How does a stylist color/highlight your hair if you have fusion hair extensions in?
Well, from what i know, they act like its your hair. After all, its supposed to be.





So they'll color/highlight those as well.
